Running Start!

Hello Dear Readers,

I apologize for the silence here on the blog. However, a delay in posting has not meant a slow down at The Joyful Stepmom! This year has been off to a running start. 

We began studying the Bible together in 2014 and this year continues our tradition. We have been participating in YouVersion reading plans and read the book Divorce Poison together.  In February, we look forward to following another YouVersion plan and this Spring we will post daily chapters from Proverbs in our Facebook community. 

I am also incredibly excited about our Local Chapters! The stepmoms in our Facebook community have reached out to their local communities and churches and in 2016 we launched Local Chapters. I am so proud of our leaders who have begun to meet in pairs and small groups to pray together and be the hands and feet of Jesus locally. We continue to pray for Jesus to move in this ministry. 

Our Facebook community continues to thrive as a place for stepmoms to pray together and point each other back to Jesus. Why online ministry? Because at some point in our journey, we all search online for help. I believe at the other end of that search should be another Christian stepmom ready to pray with you. It has been an overwhelming joy to see God take our little spot on Facebook and turn it into a place for His love and grace to flow among us. 

I'm excited for to see what God has in store this year for The Joyful Stepmom!
