It was a big year for The Joyful Stepmom! Let's celebrate the ways God grew us in 2016!
By the numbers:
We added 1,000 stepmoms to our Facebook Group
We participated in 7 book studies together to help grow in our faith
We launched Local Chapters where stepmoms can gather face to face in 14 States
The Joyful Stepmom also built relationships with other ministries this year. I joined the Advisory Board of Stepfamily Systems CoParenting Center and became a regular contributor for Better Than Blended. Many of our stepmoms attended retreats with Sisterhood of Stepmoms. We grew together as Christians, sharing in our faith and encouraging each other. Such an amazing thing to be able to write as you look back at the year. To God be the glory!
Our theme for 2016 was Walk Together, based on the story of Ruth and Naomi. Naomi was struggling, she needed help and encouragement to continue the journey. Ruth had more strength and could have gone ahead on her own. But she stuck with Naomi, they carried each other at different times throughout the story. Stepmoms will go through different seasons just like this. And when we are in a "Ruth season" we need to walk along with our Naomi's. At The Joyful Stepmom, I am so grateful we have a place to walk together in faith.
